April – the perfect month for couples to travel, especially to an exotic holiday destination. Why? It’s not quite peak season, so prices are a little cheaper (especially if you avoid the Easter holidays). So what’s stopping you? Here are our recommendations of the best places to go on holiday to grab some April sunshine as well unusual and exotic destination ideas that you may not have thought of.
Best April holiday destinations for couples looking for sunshine
With direct flights from many regional airports, Dubai is an easy place to get to. If you’re a first-time visitor then a stay in glamourous Dubai is a must. But, if you’re a couple looking for a quieter destination with all the elements of an exotic holiday, then try Ras Al Khaimah (one hour north of Dubai) or Fujairah (90 minutes from Dubai). It’s here that you’ll also get some good all-inclusive deals and with wall-to-wall sunshine, it’s the perfect destination for those who simply want to ‘fly and flop’.
Looking for a romantic getaway?
Here’s the destination to head to in April!
Venice is romantic any time of year, but April is a great month to go as believe me it gets very crowded in the summer. Immerse yourself in Venetian traditions with the festivals and events taking place this month – Easter, Festa di Marco and Liberation Day.
There are plenty of must-do’s too:
· St Mark’s Basilica
· Doge’s Palace
· A Gondola Ride
· Enjoy a coffee and people watching in Piazza San Marco
· Visit the beautiful nearby islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello
Temperatures are on the up so pack your sunglasses. But, you may also wish to pack a jacket for possible rain showers.
Speculate or accumulate on holiday in Las Vegas in April
With less crowds and great hotel deals, April in Las Vegas is an altogether quieter experience. With the abundance of casinos, it would be remiss not to have a little flutter. But gamble responsibly and only wager what you’re prepared to lose! Whilst in town, stop by the Bellagio Hotel’s fountains and scale to the top of The Stratosphere for fantastic views. If there’s time, it’s only a short hop to the Grand Canyon. Pick up a day trip from your hotel.
