The cinnamon is a perfect foil to this muffin, which cuts through the sweetness of the Nutella. this recipe makes around 7 muffins.
125g Golden Caster Sugar
2 eggs, beaten
150g Self Raising Flour
3/4tsp Baking Powder
11/2tsp Ground Cinnamon (or a little less if you don't like things a little milder)
2 tbsp Milk
3 tbsp Nutella - plus extra for decoration
Chopped Hazelnuts for decoration
Preheat the oven to 180C. Place muffin cases into a muffin tray.
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs, flours, baking powder, cinnamon, milk and mix well.
Fill the muffin cases using around 3/4 of the mixture (filling each case to just over half) .
Add a teaspoon of nutella on top of the mix and cover each muffin with the remaining mix.
Bake in the oven for around 18 minutes.
Decorate with some melted nutella and chopped hazelnuts.
