Cucamelon Salad Recipe

This is a Food Travel More exclusive recipe. Basically, we had loads of cucamelons and I couldn't find many recipes for a Cucamelon salad! So I decided to create my own and throw everything in that I thought would work - and it did! If you're struggling for ideas of how to use up your cucamelons (rather than in a gin, which quite frankly is a great way to enjoy them), then do give this salad recipe a go.


Cucamelon Salad Recipe with Pomegranate

Cucamelon Salad Recipe

10 - 12 cucamelons, topped and tailed and cut into chunks


1-2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds (I'm boujie and buy pre-prepared as it's easier)


Sprinkle of pine nuts


Sprinkle of sesame seeds


1tsp of white wine vinegar mixed with 1 tsp of olive oil


Fresh mint - finely chopped


Optional - crumbled feta cheese (this really does take it to next level)




As we've already mentioned, the sharp, tartness of a cucamelon is a great alternative to use in a classic gin and tonic. We think it works best with Edinburgh Gin's Seaside Gin.
